The initial unveiling has Kandi revealing her pregnancy. In the season premiere, the girls already know and acknowledge Kandi's pregnancy. I believe that the season premiere was meant to happen at some point in the middle of the season, with the pregnancy party being an earlier episode.

Because Bravo needed to start things off with a bang and use Sheree's return as a hook for viewers, they started the season with Cynthia's eyewear party instead. Therefore, it would make no sense to show Kandi's initial party now as it's a moot point and happened in the past.

I could see them using the footage for flashback scenes, or during Kandi's next spin off show.

They were going for pushing a legit star on the promo tour which is why SHE did Wendy and some other things.
Also, last minute Cynthia did steve harvey as a promo junket but where were Kandi and Kenya.

Towards the end they kind of began advertising the Porsha Cynthia thing but Kim isn't bringing in ratings.

She's there to show how real housewives actually are.

Kenya, Kandi and Cynthia carrying the first episode made people interested for the 2nd episode.
The RHOA trinity ALWAYS win.

That said, POrsha and Kandi vs. Phaedra were broadcasted last session so who knows if the ratings will dip a bit or not.

I don't think Kandi is doing promo because of her pregnancy. Porsha has been doing promo rounds in NYC and her TV show re-caps RHOA every week.

Tbh I'm pretty surprised how fast Nene is starting to grovel at Bravo's feet again. She's doing a press tour for Chicago, but all she talks about is RHOA. When last year she couldn't stop bad mouthing the show, this year she's all "that's my show."

She realized that she needed that steady paycheck. The thing is, she had some leverage last year being an OG housewife. This year, especially with the ratings rising without her, she doesn't have as much footing to get them to increase her paycheck.

yeah she's doing it now but pre-RHOA season 8 debut it was marketing Kim as the new housewife. Also, cynthia did the steve harvey show right before the premiere.
Now they are sending Kenya and Porsha.
Phaedra won't bring anything great enough to send her out as much as the others and Kandi is later in her pregnancy.

OT: Nene did an interview with E! and of course trashed her fellow castmates.
At first she was throwing shade which described Porsha to a tee until Porsha "surprise" showed up interrupting her interview.

So it was clearly thrown at sheree.

Yeah the great thing about THIS SEASON is that there isn't a divide. Also, you can tell that ALL of these housewives are on the same time of making a great entertaining show.

I agree.

Nene just needs to get off her high horse and admit she misses being on the show. It's been apart of her life for 7 years so it would be totally understandable, it would actually humanize her a bit if she admitted it.

Yeah Cynthia and Kandi are kinda holding the show up story line wise.

Cynthia sunglasses are also getting a lot of shine. She was promoting that and RHOA. Happy for her. She needed to do something before Peter runs her bank account dry smh.

here's the thing about Kenya.
THEY BROUGHT kenya on to be an out of touch beauty queen that they could taunt and control to where she would have left in a season or two worse off than she came in.

Problem is, kenya is smarter than that. she played that part but showed she has a brain and is in control of her drama.

They don't like that because all of the girls that accomplished something pre housewives are just easy going and go with the flow (cynthia/kandi) or allow bravo to control and always up in Andy's office with their boys kissing up to keep their peach (allegedly) (Porsha/Phaedra)

Nene seemed to be a team player until she got a wiff of that fame outside of the show.

Kenya is such a wildcard but that also makes the show entertaining to have a villain that will always give watercooler talk but at the same time they can't control her.

Andy doesn't like that Kenya's is smarter than expected and that she's bested some of the big stars of RHOA.
She bested Nene to the point of throwing tantrums behind the scene about the "star" of the show.
She bested Phaedra ripping her mask off and showing how low and dirty she can get.
so on and so forth.

They know they can't get rid of her because she's needed and they hate that lack of control.
Kenya bought 3 houses in Atlanta.

I fully expect Kenya to make season 8 about the over the top drama per usual, then her hair care line and building her house.
I think by reunion the house will be ready if not by filming for season 9 which gives her a story line to start with.

I think the tea has been spilled on her new boyfriend and I honestly think she is going to make it work this time even if she has to settle.
Season 9 will be post hair care line and dating the new guy and will be about dating the guy, the new home and leading down to marriage and then season 10 might be for the baby/adoption whatever.

Kenya has mapped out her blueprint and bested those that thought they can use and her dispose of her once done.

It's weird because she wants back on the show as that is her business card for other jobs...even if she's allegedly getting paid scale to do those jobs as she can add it to her resume.

get back right with RHOA and the cast members, get that bigger coin and humble yourself.
I heard that was done behind the scenes at the jamaica trip.

Yet for some reason, guns are blazing shading her cast members about fake storylines as if we couldn't point to a few if not more fake storylines she's been a part of
coughs divorcing gregg so that his financial situation can be resolved with no responsibility on your end despite being seen partying with him off season coughs and other things.

Even Kandi has a storyline that isn't all the way real.
Something about that scene when Mama joyce looked down in the kitchen and said I love you more than I love myself.
Translation: for 2 seasons Mama Joyce/Todd beef has carried Kandi's storyline and Mama joyce amped it up for ratings and to ensure her daughter keeps her peach.

I don't like seeing Nene trash a show that she wants to be a part of but didn't get her way or her pay and thought she'd be fine without it.

I want her to comeback as a humble Nene but if she's going to be like she was last season blaming everyone then I don't want her back
I'm glad all of the women are on the same team about making a great show without a divide but still drama that can be resolved shortly after it starts.

This confirms the news about production being more than please with the cast this season and felt great moving forward without nene. I see cynthia shamea and porsha hugged up as if they did get into a fight months ago.

Resolving it like grown women and moving forward.

I'm just glad that Kenya rose because if she were dumb she wouldn't have been able to survive first first season.
the way she twirled out of season 6 victoriously and even twirled out of that set up at the pillow fight and half the people were at fault when they were aiming to set her up and get all blame.

The way she got assaulted and karma got Porsha with 2 mugshots and she used the attack as a bargaining chip to proceed forward with higher pay BUT they MUST resolve the apollo lies before he gets locked up.

So she's clever and savvy.

Now she bought 3 houses for a steal and moore manor will be up (she posted instragram of her workers on the house a week ago) either before the reunion or as a lead in for season 9.

She will have those girls laughing at the sticks and horrible first sight of the house eating crow pie.

She's a wildcard/unpredictable and playing chess when the other girls play checkers.

I don't think she'll get pregnant as she tried a year or so back (gained 10 lbs for the invitro shots or whatever) and it didn't happen but I do think she will find a man ready to settle down (possibly her new man) and have storylines for the dating, mating marriage and kids (even if adopted/surrogate) that she claimed when showing cynthia that tore down house. People think she's delusional about a husband and kids but me thinks she's setting it up right now.
I think she's ready to settle as a last resort but she might not have to.
