Ugh. The treatment doesn't capture the mood of the song, in my opinion. I was thinking she'd do something a lot darker and cinematic. It's a big tune and deserves more compelling visuals. This is just plain tacky and really goes against her goal of appearing more organic this album cycle. It would have been expected from the Teenage Dream era, but not PRISM.

Unbelievably tacky and awful. My problem with this video is the same problem I had with the Roar video. So cheesy and not in a fun kitschy way. It's so squarely aimed at 3rd grade girls.
I was here for the TD-era videos, too. It seems like the bigger budgets she gets, the more the quality suffers.
I really tried to like video but I can't help feeling she just comes off as a hypocrite. I love Katy, but at the beginning of the era she announced the era burning Baby Blue (the Cali Gurls Wig), burying the candy dress and all, and then she goes and makes a music video that has more pink and causes more diabetes than the Cali Gurls video. She also attempted to be goofy ala LFN, but it just ended up feeling try hard. The only part I liked was the part in which she was covered in silver paint (Umbrella anyone? ) with a golden snake. The rest is **** to me.
Oh my God. This video is embarrassingly bad, it's her worst to date.
Why do her videos become increasingly tackier and more childlike? Shouldn't she be maturing as an artist, not making music and videos that appeal to kindergartners? No wonder she gets dragged so much, she deserves it when she serves mess like this.

Dark Horse mv is tacky, corny, cheesy...
It's like she mixed in a blender California Gurls, Roar, the cute effects from Unconditionally and some Ur So Gay.
It's sort of tacky but again it's Katy Perry we're talking about. I was more afraid the video was gonna be literally about a Dark Horse. I liked it, the production value is huge, how can you guys act like this video is horrible?
