The average human being won't understand Souled Out or Jhené's artistry. I'm getting tired of "Jhené's songs all sound the same" . For her its not just about going into the studio and singing over a beat. This album took 2-3 years and she worked very hard. Her music is deep.
I'm fortunate enough to be one of the very few thousands of soul mates who genuinely understand her artistry. This woman is amazing and has changed the way I think
Artists have a certain type of feel they go for and Jhene is not all the same it's just her artistry and what she can work with.

This is me right now.
Jhené Aiko has partnered with peta2, PETA’s youth division, in a new campaign to promote pet adoption. The L.A. singer, whose album Souled Out arrives September 9, snuggles up next to a rescued cat named Daisy with the words “Adoption Is Love. Save a Homeless Dog or Cat.”
“I think cats are super smooth with everything they do,” said Jhené. “I move in silence, but when I feel threatened, I get real feisty like a cat.”
She used to rescue cats when she was a child. “Ever since I was younger, I had this connection with cats. I would bring home stray kittens and ever since then, I always had to have cats in my life.”
Her five-year-old daughter Namiko wanted a cat, so she adopted one from a local shelter. “It’s important to adopt rather than buy because they’re so many animals in the shelter that need homes,” she said.

The lyrics are great but it's just something about it that just doesn't click for me.
I thought maybe after listening to the album from beginning to end would put it into perspective a little more but it didn't.

Wait.... I have to purchase the target album for "Beautiful Ruin"? I love jhene but I wasn't looking foward to buying another whole album for one song.
Anyways I hope one of her songs take off on radio once the album drops. I can see spotless mind, Lyin king or Wading making moves on Urban and possibly moderate success of rhythmic
