LESS successful. People were ready for this single. It was racy & it proved that Gaga was willing to take risks. If Britney released it, it'd just be another trick that people were already used to.
Well, in March 2009 (when Lovegame was released as a single). Circus had topped the Pop Songs chart, peaked at #3, and sold 2.9 million copies in the US so I would say just as successful.
But since Alejandro & LoveGame were Gaga's least successful singles... Then I think Brit would've slayed
