Synopsis
The first single from Miike Snow's latest album, Happy To You, was "Paddling Out". The song features upbeat, almost dancey piano. The trio tries to go for a clear hook in this one, "you say, isn't it hard, paddling out, paddling out" but the vocals when the title is sung can be annoying to some listeners. This is Miike Snow's fourth song out, leaving them with four left.
Standout Line
"The west, the warm, the sunny south / I see it's full of ancients"
Synopsis
"We Share Our Mother's Health" was the fourth single from Silent Shout. The song features various chaotic synths with haunting, almost scary vocals. Pitchfork Media placed "We Share Our Mother's Health" at #14 on The Top 100 Tracks of 2006. It even managed to chart on the UK singles chart and the US dance chart!
Standout Line
"Trees there will be, apples, fruits maybe / You know what I fear, the end is always near"
That's not even fair! 44 IS MY LUCKY NUMBER WHY WOULD YOU DO THIS TO ME?! Two of my 10s are out already what the eff. Wow. This is really really upsetting.
I mean I could understand it "not being to someone's taste" but how could you rate it lower than a 6? You have to at least appreciate that it's GOOD... ughhhhhhh.
Seriously... maybe I've been hard with some songs, I really didn't like the majority of them, but if I could evaluate "WSOMH" now, the note would probably be higher, it grew on me so much, probably a 6.
But all those lowest scores aren't a good thing in my favor.
