Im kinda glad Nicki decided to release Starships over Roman Holiday. Not only is it smashing, but it also builds a lot of anticipation for Roman Holiday. Like I said, I think it's gonna smash, except that song is truly like nothing on the radio so I wonder how that'll play out.

Urban audiences by albums not singles. Pop fans buy singles not albums lol. That's how I look at it.

I never really understood the urban buys albums and pop buy singles.

No, urban doesn't typically buy pop singles.
Pop buys albums and singles but if you are proven to be a singles artist (i.e. Katy, Rihanna) then it will take longer.

Adele, gaga, Nicki etc. have proven against that.
Nicki is an album seller and hit or miss single seller.

It's great timing, the song has a summery feel and will be a spring smash to promote the album. Because of its summery vibe it will have longevity throughout the summer.

It's smart.

Oh, and ppl shouldn't worry about RR being out of the top 100. It was thrown out there and not really promoted. Its for buzz purposes until a video comes out and adds dates follow. It's top 50 on urban right so that is good.
