ROUND 4
WORD LADDERS
The creation of legendary English author Lewis Carroll ("Alice in Wonderland"), word ladders are a type of puzzle in which the goal is to move from one word to another in the least amount of steps, in which one step consists of changing one letter of the word.
The catch is that every intermediate step must also be a word. So the following pathway from "fire" to "gave" is invalid:
fire - START
gire - NOT A WORD, INVALID
give
gave - END
The actual shortest route would be 5 steps:
fire - START
five
give
gave
pave - END
I have 3 word ladders for you to complete. YOU DON'T NEED TO FIND THE SHORTEST ROUTE! Any valid route works.
1. Start with "cook," end with "ping."
2. Start with "bank," end with "dice."
3. Start with "caper," end with "dimer."
BONUS COMPONENT
The first person to send in the challenge along with this component will receive a Tripler. A bonus will go unclaimed if no one submits the challenge along with its bonus component within ten minutes of the last competitor to receive points.
4. Start with "better," end with "tanned."
PM me each completed ladder.
