Belly dance is generally about natural body movements but it´s not a piece of cake because it has its own techniques and takes as much of time as other dance styles to pratice insolation movements and shimmies with complex rhythm and tempo ( in fact belly dance even has a more complex rhythmic movement of hip than Latin dance). Claiming skakira a bad dancer because she couldn´t catch up the footsteps dance styles is like saying a tap dancer is bad dancer because that one couldn´t do 3/4 shimmy or hip locks with fast tempo but not to look like a robot. Thats the skill to perform techniques

Any true dancer can do a pirouette. It's the most basic turn in dance. I never said Shakira was a bad dancer or didn't have skill, I said outside of belly dancing, I doubt she could handle choreography, which can be separate from the belly dancing. And judging by her performance on SYTYCD, she's not at that level where she can.

Also, Salsa, Samba, Flamenco, and other Latin dance styles have a higher level of skill necessary to execute than Belly dancing.

Britney has flexibility and gymnastics over JT - she started dancing since two. Since then she's mastered ballet, jazz, contemporary, modern, swing, ballroom, and many more she doesn't showcase in her performances.

For those demeaning Shakira, her too has flexibility and gymnastic under her belt.

Oh, and Britney effortlessly performs double turns in Vegas. I'm sure Madonna can do them too. I've never seen another pop girl other than them perform a proper single pirouette.

Well yeah she's more flexible, physiologically that is, because she's female. Women innately have more control over their hip joints, so naturally they'll be more flexible. Also, you do realize gymnastics is not a part of dance, right? Tumbling in choreography is not a display of any skill in dance. In gymnastics, yes. In dance? No.

Sure Britney may be performing double turns in Vegas. But are they centered? Is her alignment correct? Is she coming out of the turn at the right time? Are the turns spotted? Probably not. Double turns (pirouettes I'm hoping you mean) aren't used in the type of dance Britney and Madonna do because contemporary dace doesn't necessary adhere to the principles of ballet.

I've seen plenty of Britney's Vegas performances, and if I were you, I wouldn't be using those performances to support my argument.
