I loved and I still love the Pokemon world, but the anime is pure crap...Even then I was very disappointed - it's too corny, too predictable and too childish. It was the games that made me love it. (I only used the movies which were great right until the 9th one when **** went downhill...the 8th one though
)
While Digimon was something else... I re-watched it a few years ago (I was 18 I think
) and although I do find it childish now (over 13 years later) I still see why I loved it back then - that darker, more serious tone of it in comparison to all the other children shows. Of course the first 10 episodes of each season were the typical borefest, but after that... Well, yes, nothing too extreme, but still there was a lot of blood, even death, which isn't necessarily a good thing, but I liked that they weren't playing it so safe. The same goes for Yu-Gi-Oh!. I remember crying so much to so many scenes...
Especially Digimon Tamers...
Anyway, the 21-year-old me still refuses to grow up, I guess, and watching those videos got me so inspired. I despise my life and the world we live in. I still wish I could live in the Digital World or be a part of it somehow. Now I seriously regret giving up my dream to become an animator...
P.S. I stopped watching after Frontier which wasn't bad at all, but it was the art that put me off and from what I've seen it's only getting worse...
