I can't at this still being discussed and this is not really a question. There is only one answer: YES! And who still says no must also still think that women shouldn't vote, or that black people should be slaves of the white ones.
Sorry for being harsh but it is so!

Now, a single gay man can adopt a child, thought.

Is this a joke?
This might be one of the dumbest things I've ever read, I love it.

It's great that you'd rather have a child raised in an abusive home than with two gay parents because they may have an altered view of marriage.

I dont give a **** if your "facts" contradict it. I didnt say anything offending. I have no problem with people disagreeing with me, but dont come at me with egotistical ******** because you dont agree with what I say. Thats it.

Death at you continuing to try to pretend like THE FACTS CONTRADICTING YOUR OPINION doesn't invalidate your opinion.
And yes, saying gays cannot parent children is extremely offensive, by the way. As is your disrespect for science.

Honey, like I said before, your facts wont change my opinion. It wont. Sorry. You can try and make me feel like an idiot and have people co sign with you, but the fact of the matter is, my views on this wont change. They will stay the same, no matter how much you try and throw your "facts" in my face. My opinion will always be valid, dosent matter if I'm gay or straight, raised by gay parents, raised by aliens, I DONT GIVE A ****. My opinion will stay the SAME, and no matter how much you preach about your "facts" overweighing something that I simply FEEL, not even going about preaching that is FACTUAL, my opinion will be valid. to me anyway. You dont have to agree. You have no reason to be offended.
Finally, Thats where youre wrong. I didnt even say that they couldnt. I never said they couldnt. I never said they couldnt. READ man. READ.

No I havent. It is pure speculation, and Im not ashamed to admit that. I think you are just being very sensitive, and I understand that. There are some touchy subjects that I'm afraid to voice my opinion on because of whats happening right now, people being offended by what I'm trying to say and taking it the wrong way. Let me throw in that I'm raised by parents who do not think gays should have any type of rights such as marriage and adoption privalages. I'm the only one in my family who supports gays and strive towards them being equal to heterosexuals. I dont like how you are attacking my opinion so strongly without even trying to see where I'm coming from. Like I said in the thread about being born gay, I could be wrong. That dosent change how I feel now.

Please read my posts. I never said that gays did not have the ability to raise a child. I just said that the child simply might get confused at a certain age. I ALSO pointed out to thisisit that I could be wrong. It's just the way I feel at the moment. I also said that they should be allowed to.

I just love how you seem actually proud of believing things that by your own admission aren't true.

If the child is safe, has a good home and is brought up with love it doesn't matter what gender/sexuality the parents are.

I'm not the only one who feels this way. I'm not proud of anything. I'm just standing by my opinion. And again, you dont even know if they arent true. Seriously, it may happen to a child thats raised by homosexual parents. you dont know that. you never will.

I never said it won't.
But a kid could be made fun of just as badly for being black, or wearing glasses, or farting in class someday, but you're not trying to take away any of THEIR rights. "You don't know that. You never will."
STUDIES and FACTS show that while it could happen, it's NO MORE LIKELY for children of gay parents than anyone else.

Didn't you hear? Facts mean nothing because her opinion will never change, ever.
In my opinion this site is called MusicForum. Never mind that it is titled ATRL, my opinion > reality

Why would I want to take away their rights? And I'm not even emphasizing on the teasing part, I'm talking about from a personal standpoint for THE CHILD. You are really misunderstanding what I'm trying to say. I strongly think that gay parents should explain to the child early on whats going on so they wont BECOME confused. I think until the parents do, its inevitable that the child wont know whats going on! That's all I'm trying to say. Please, try to understand where I'm coming from.

This argument that children of gay or lesbian parents might get "confused" about sexuality or marriage is just so warped. Nobody lives in a vacuum of their own family; we are socialized by every aspect of our lives. Just like anyone else, that child will come to know heterosexual couples through the parents of their friends and images in the media. Young children don't care about these types of differences until they're taught to find it problematic. If anything, they will grow up with a greater awareness and appreciation for diversity. Surely, when any questions about arise, they can easily be addressed by the parents, and then the family can simply continue on.

You're imagining some weird fantasy world where the gay couple will be the only thing the child will see. How will a child possibly not learn about heterosexual couples at a young age?
I mean really, do you really think a GAY COUPLE wouldn't explain to their child what homosexuality is? Are you thinking this through at all?
It's like banning Muslim people from having children because then Christianity will "confuse" them.

Of course we should, there are so many kinds of families, and what it's important at the end is love and responsability

As much as you may desire to have a child, they could have the same towards having a mother.

What child ever has a "choice in the matter"?
I don't remember telling my mum to f**k my dad (who happened to leave her to raise me as a single mother in inner-city London when I was born) and prevent me from becoming another flushed menstrual cycle
