Lowkey one of the most influential records of the 80s right here? Well, for ethnics.

With all of Paula's other tracks dipping out in the 40s, I'm surprised and glad Straight Up made it this far
__
I prefer Maxwell's version of This Woman's Work tbh
But this really grew on me over the past year as well! I was too cruel to it

Woo heavens. Look at all those tens. Y'all won't believe what knocked it out of the top ten at the last moment!

I was a bit harsh. With going through 80+ songs for the rate, I was not here for slow ballads by the time I got to Anita
Let me repent

I wish I gave Running Up That Hill a better score. The #11 spot it so horrible

No Kate Bush in the top ten?! Wow. Wow wow wow. I'm genuinely shocked.

Brutal eliminations tonight. I lost so many favorites! "Running Up That Hill" really should have been a contender for the crown.
Snaps for getting Ms. Guthrie into the top 15, though. "Ain't Nothin' Goin' On But the Rent" is definitely the dark horse bop of the whole rate.
And I'm pleasantly surprised to see the love for Vanessa and Anita. I would have predicted bigger pop hits to dominate.
Justice for Queen Paula! I'm still miffed about how wrong you all did her.

The bloodshed tonight was too much. Sweet Love and Dreamin' were top ten material.
Ace, is there gonna be a 90s Other Grrrrls Rate any time soon? We also need one that focuses on "the other" girl groups (e.g. anything other than TLC and DC).

So what's left? Because I feel like there's still a lot of good songs in ("Fast Car," "Love Is a Battlefield," "Time After Time").

Methinks these gems will be our top 10:
Pat Benatar - Love is a Battlefield
Tina Turner - What's Love Got to Do With It
Tracy Chapman - Fast Car
Sheila E. - The Glamorous Life
Chaka Khan - I Feel For You
Chaka Khan - Through The Fire
Stevie Nicks - Edge of Seventeen
Taylor Dayne - Tell It To My Heart
Sheena Easton - Morning Train (9 to 5)
Stephanie Mills - Never Knew Love Like This Before

"Morning Train (9 to 5)" and "Through the Fire" are definitely out. I believe Cyndi still has both "Girls Just Want to Have Fun" and "Time After Time" in play.

True Colors and This Woman's Work should've been Top 10. Kate didn't deserve to be eliminated right at #11.

I was shocked - SHOCKED (by the power) - to see this song kick Kate out. Taylor, her power?
10.
Average: 8.875
Highest: 10 (V3$$3L, KLatz, Penk, supaspaz, Flashing Lights)
Lowest: 5 (downbywednesday)
That five was the only sub-7.5 score - that's why it's this high! Surprise of the rate?

You must have my scores mixed up with someone else's 'cuz there's no bloody way I gave Running Up That Hill a 6 and a Chaka Khan song a 10. Wut?
What kind of amnesia tea is this thread?

I got it.
The biggest surprise is that this loving late era disco bop made it to the promised land! Last song with a below nine average, y'all.
