This is inarguable
Obviously they do. They're selling well over 10x what the top girl groups sell in South Korea thanks to foreign fans shipping their albums. They also have 100M+ views on a ton of videos despite their country not really using VEVO
Just because they're Asian and you're not willing to give them a chance does not mean that all of America feels the same way.

@ you bringin up free Vevo views, you know how many asian acts have 89374743i37 views on vevo? The only CHARt they are on is the Japan, Korean charts.
I'm not here for free views.

- You wont find Kpop albums on your local CD store
- Radios dont play kpop songs SO obviously you wont see them on the charts outside of Asia and what Eternium said is right.
- What chart history other than the singles chart is 5H slaying?

Their touring receipts are under $10M WW.
Their album sales are under 1M WW.
Their single sales are under 5M WW.
AKB48 (albeit a rotation girl group) has sold over 20M physical singles and their singles are twice the price of a Fifth Harmony album. Even their digital singles, which they've also sold over 10M of, are over $5.
Girls' Generation have sold over 20M singles, they have a single album that's sold over 1M WW, they've grossed some $40M on tour, etc.
How are Fifth Harmony bigger? Because they're relevant in a country you're from?

They are! It's not about selling albums or whatever that we are in right now. If that was it, Rihanna would be a no one, for example. They are a HUGE streaming force and VERY relevant.

If you'd open a calendar, you'd see that the year is 2016, not 1948. Surprise, bitch, but streaming is the future. Why do you think your fave threw her hat in the ring and got behind TIDAL?
And does it matter if they're on ANY charts? They're selling more singles, albums and tour tickets WW and they're gaining strong VEVO views outside of South Korea. And my point was that their fans ship their albums WW. That's why their sales are so abnormal for South Korea. They're literally selling over 10x what the average female albums sell because their fans, such as myself, use YesAsia and other shipping companies to get their albums and it reflects solely on the South Korean charts despite so many of their fans being from outside Asia.
How is selling 200k with an album available in 100+ countries more impressive than selling 1M with an album available in 4 countries?

SISTAR replaced 2NE1 in 2011. F(x) passed them, too, because they actually found success in China and Japan. 2NE1 are actually local and had a shot at making it in the U.S., but JYP wasted it. They were set to be a touring force, too, but their failed debut in Japan (they sold under 40k albums while Girls' Generation sold 1M) caused them to step back for a while.
AKB48 is one of the biggest forces this decade. Only Madonna, Beyonce, The Rolling Stones and AC/DC have come close to grossing as much money as them, and even they aren't anywhere near them. They sell over 1M singles a week everytime they release...and their singles are around $20. They also have constant residencies in Akihibara and will easily gross $1B+ this decade. They're a bit different from most girl groups, though, because they're more of a brand since they follow a graduation system.

I won't allow those lies Eternium. SISTAR is a single artist just like 5H, f(x) is only an "event" when they release stuff no one talks about them the rest of the year. And 2NE1's WW power is still strong after all these years.

interesting...2ne1's career seems a bit messy and not well handled. Don't follow k pop that much I like a few 2ne1 songs and love CL but didn't know all of this. I always see 2ne1 and GG mentioned here but not the others. So they kinda replace them once they get to a certain age or after so many years in the group?

The asian girl groups might be the biggest groups in Asia...but how about in North America and Europe?

Exactly. It's the same with Little Mix, the Harmonisers like to shout about them being local but their most recent "local" album has sold over 4x as much as 5H's "global" album has. The logic just doesn't make sense.
