Well said, because as I've stated before not everyone HAS to agree with homosexuality as long as they don't try to treat gays as second class citizens.
Understand we are equal and treat us as such and your opinion can be just that, your opinion.
There should never be a need to "agree" or "disagree" homosexuality. The **** yall think it is
I can't at all the people saying "well she clearly says she likes gay people, so it's fine that she doesn't agree with their lifestyle". Imagine if someone said something like: "Well personally I don't agree with the lifestyle of being a woman, but I know a lot of nice women and females, so I respect them." They'd be dragged for making the dumbest public statement ever. If something can't be changed about a person and wasn't chosen by them, calling it a "lifestyle" is ridiculous and ignorant.
I hate it when fellow gays are okay with this kind of talk, yet find the smallest form of racism unacceptable. Ignorance and hatred is ignorance and hatred. It's 2016, we're past the point of "not being raised that way" give me a ****ing break.
There are many who have made it who don't agree with homosexuality.
Yes, most of which are men and men who made it in the past. The media is changing quickly and if you speak negatively of gays, male or female, in 2015 when your career has barely got off the ground, you will not make it.
But her statement implies that she doesn't respect my lifestyle or accept it. That in itself is harmful to spew to her fan that looks for acceptance in her music, voice, and story
I don't know what you're reading because she LITERALLY says she respects homosexuals but DISAGREES with their lifestyle.
If someone wants to be a tree worshipper, I can respect them and their beliefs politely but can simultaneously disagree with their beliefs because they contradict mine.
I mean, what does ''I don't agree with homosexuality (lifestyle)'' even mean?
It's not a theory.
Since it's not really a belief system or doctrine you can just assume if someone says that they more so mean that they don't approve of it on 'moral' grounds and find it undesirable.

This is ridiculous. "Tree worshipping" would be like a religion - in other words - a choice. It would be more along the lines of saying "I don't agree with blacks and the black lifestyle, but I'll still respect them." I'm sure you can understand how ignorant that sounds.

messy.
weird that some of the atrl gays seem to support such speech.
I hate this whole 'disagree with the gay lifestyle' ******** that religious nuts constantly spew out. What does that even mean. You don't agree or disagree with homosexuality, it just is. It has nothing to do with you. It's just something that exists. Why must people always get all up in other people's business. And then 'but I have gay friends!!" thing that people say, it's like when people say 'but I have a black friend!' to defend being seen as racist

I'm reading exactly what you're reading, sis. That's literally what I exactly said. She disagrees with my "lifestyle". It's not a lifestyle. Do you think we chose to be insulted and abused mentally and physically? That is a harmful thing to coin it a "lifestyle." A lifestyle is something that is developed over time. Not born with.
