Absolutely it does. And that assault should be prosecuted. But it has

It's the reason why the Duck Dynasty guys could be legally fired for expressing their opinions on Gay Marriage. Their employer wasn't the government. This chick can say what she wants, but it's not a "protected right". People can react how they want to react, and face the legal consequences of however they choose to react (in this case, battery).
