Most states in the Deep South if you're of color, out as gay, etc.

Come to NY sis. I work at a gym in downtown NYC, and the people are literally trash. So rude and condescending, they ignore me when I greet them, snatch things out of my hands, go from 0 to 100 real quick asking for my manager or the corporate number over minor things and/or things that they're literally blatantly in the wrong about... I even had a person the other day going off over a .89 CENT TAX (she wrote in a letter saying she felt "robbed"
). Almost without fail, when I encounter an uncharacteristically nice/pleasant customer, they're from out of state, or Europe or something.
Factor in the obnoxious tourists clogging the streets and restaurants every damn day (shortening my lunch breaks), awful air quality with our rude natives blowing cigarette smoke in my face, and the astronomical cost of living (the min wage here is something like 9$/hr, which is literally a poverty/starvation wage), short summers and long, harsh winters... I can't wait to move. [/rant]
