I had home-made cous-cous (sorry if I mispelled) made by an old friend of mine's mother, she was from Morocco,
and I LOVED it. Like, I couldn't get enough. It was pretty similar to some Spanish dishes, maybe that's why I liked it so much. I think that's all I've tried as far as African food. I want to try more!

Yeah same, i've only eaten Moroccan food because it's similar to spanish and middle eastern dishes but with african influence.
I'll eat anything as long it smells, tastes and looks good. There's some African food that ****ing stinks I just can't. 😷
Have you ever heard of "pachownie"? Its Caribbean and without a doubt its the most vile smelling food on earth. Its basically the internal parts of a goat/sheep. Every time my mom cooked it back in the days i had to evacuate the house
I went to this great African restaurant once and the food absolutely SLAYED, but again I think it was most likely adapted or something to be less like the oriibal and more sinilar to regular western platters.

Noooo I couldn't. I don't even like fish much and walking past the aisle just turns my stomach. Markets are the worst.
Idk what exactly people are cooking around here but it's like someone's died. 😷
I think North-African food is fairly easy to come by, but not so much other regions. Maybe its too different for Western tastes? Its not the only neglected cuisine in the West though, Eastern European food is like nowhere.

This thread is making me wanna taste all African food TBH
It's so yummy
Where I am from in ny we simply don't have a large west African diaspora I think. We do have a lot of carribean cuisine (Jamaican and Haitian) and North African cuisine places (Moroccan and Ethiopian)
IDK, I've never seen a restaurant specializing in cuisine from any sub-Saharan African country; there's an Egyptian restaurant or two where I live, but that's it.
