Many sources have stated that Whitney has sold over 170 million records worldwide. Until I see proof that Madonna has sold 100 million units more than her, which I seriously doubt, I think I will stand alone with those sources.
EDIT: I thought it meant 75 milli in the US and 200 milli overall.
No Music, American Life, Confessions On a Dance Floor, The Confessions Tour (CD), Hard Candy, Celebration numbers included.
I meant 40 million more singles than Whitney.
Madonna has sold a little less than 200 million albums and a little more than 100 million singles. Whitney has sold about 135 million albums and I'm assuming around 60 million singles. The 170 million records for her is old.
