1. SOPHIE - Product
EP, album, ~compilation, sex toy, whatever, 25 minutes, some old some new but >50% from this year, I thought this was the best place for it.
More than Future, more than Chance the Rapper, more than Carly Rae Jepsen, more than everyone who released 2 or more albums this year, SOPHIE was the 2015 MVP (this will be reflected in the tracks list) and this lil thing is the best demonstration of why. From crazy dance tracks to uncomfortable noise experiments to at least one straight up pop masterpiece, but mostly combinations of all three usually at the same time, there was no one else this year pushing the boundaries of what pop music could look and sound like to this extent. I don't know if it's the 'future' at all, in terms of something that'll end up causing a ripple effect throughout the whole music world rather then staying mostly confined to his own bubble, but I do think that everyone with an adventurous bone in their body owes themself a listen to expand their minds just a little bit.
It's not on Spotify as a .... ;; Product

~ but all the songs themselves are, just gotta go through it in playlist form
