I don't exactly agree, it only gives you a bad impression if you don't take the effort in listening to more the genere has to offer.
That's like saying BOMT gives a bad impression of pop music in general because it doesn't fit ones idea of what a song should be like.
There's room for all sorts of music and that includes fun songs.
I still don't understand why there was such a pushback by certain western artists to the song as if we haven't had mindless songs before Psy.
