In a platonic way, as I'm wary of the straights who are horrified of gays being attracted to them. Fortunately it's usually only ugly guys who have no business being worried about that, who are worried about that... But I'll still make sure to do it in a way that's not "OMG ur beautiful and I'm in love with you plz start playing for my team " even if that's literally what I'm thinking.

But on a related note, I know this will probably be an unpopular opinion, but I honestly try not to interact with straight guys that much unless I have to, for the simple fact that developing a crush on one <<<<<<<<<<<<<<<< torture

in my experience, straight guys take being told you think they're attractive 1 of 2 ways.

1) They're cool with it and are happy to hear it

or

2) They're completely creeped out/ offended.

it really just depends on the guy
