On a serious note, the people that stand behind Gaga are miles more powerful than the people that stand behind Miley. From her label, manager to her executives etc.

Gaga has a contract with Interscope, and just cuz Miley can pay for her **** to her label and even buy herself out, Gaga can't, simply because Gaga's contract is hundreds of millions more than that of Miley

And so on. No one really counts on Miley to save the sales etc. (talking about her label) whereas Interscope has always counted on Gaga and when sales went up for the first time in a shitload of years (2011) Adele, Gaga and Eminem were the ones stated as "most important figures in the increase in sales" by several sources including Billboard, MTV, RS etc.

Gaga is powerful, but not more powerful than Jimmy Iovine and other executives, neither is any other pop star that existed EVER.

I'm definitely not part of this artists-that-don't-give-away-music-for-free-are-greedy trend. Although the word trend implies it's going away, which it's not, I mean a trend more as in a movement towards music having less and less monetary value.

However I mean Gaga always did talk about #MusicNotTheBling and stuff... although I wouldn't say to put a witch-hunt on her to release free music. For all we know Interscope just wouldn't let her, or whatever. We don't know her whole situation, not even those Radio ARTPOP power bottoms.
