a) straight hare isn't exclusive to white people (e.g. Indian women often have straight hair)
b) the point many try to make is that a black woman donning cornrows is deemed 'unprofessional' and 'hood' yet when a white woman mimics it, she's praised for being 'innovative' and a 'trendsetter' -- having cornrows/locs/natural hair can often also jeopardise a black person's job prospects so there's that too
c) also,
cornrows are a significant, cultural aspect of black culture
white "appropriation"
does not exist because, well, white people don't have a culture
A predominantly white female hairstyle carries no cultural significance whatsoever.
