Sorry, but statements like these are what makes the Beyhive the most delusional stan base out there right now. Like, the song hasn't even outsold Applause domestically and the song flopped on a worldwide scale. So how exactly did people grow up listening to this song? Like, cringe, no offense.

Beyoncé has had a longer time to make an impact.
The fact that we can even compare Lady Gaga, who debuted in 2008 and hit it big in 2009, to a '90s act who's still active today says a lot.
Gaga has made more of an impact internationally. Beyoncé in the U.S., maybe.

Hilarious - but this has nothing to do with writing credits.
Beyonce's brand is distinctive to her. There has never been an artist like her, that encompasses all the qualities and traits that she brings as an artist. That alone makes her stand out amongst her peers. In addition, as mentioned, her success is bi-generational. She had her first #1 hit in 1998, and in 2015, she seems to be more powerful and relevant than ever.
Gaga made impact, but it was short-lived, no shade. Not to mention, many recognize her as too-Madonna inspired. Also, her hits hasn't aged as well as I thought they would.

So Beyonce's got bigger impact because the schtick she borrowed was from an icon like Jennifer Lopez and not a legend?
OT: They're really equal. Gaga was incredibly more innovative than Beyonce will ever be but Beyonce has managed to stay around and has been more consistent, despite most of her ideas being rehashes from other artists.

No, DC (and Nsync) weren't viewed as Bey/JT back then. Pussycat Dolls have songs that are apart of ppl's childhood, but that doesnt mean Nicole Scherzinger has had impact

A mess at him always complaining about Monsters (literally, that's all he does in Stand Your Ground) clinging to Taylor when he's now clinging to Bey's impact because his own fave has barely any real cultural impact despite all of her success (hence why she's yet to sell 15 million albums worldwide despite being the most promoted artist in the past 10 years).

If we're talking about longevity then Beyoncé, of course! It is unfair to judge both artists by their impact on pop culture.
Would you have a bigger impact on pop culture if you, yourself, were not part of it?
However, Lady Gaga's arrival in 2008 had not only her contemporaries going Gaga but female artists too! Let's take a closer look:
A very distinct shift in fashion from 2008 until 2013 - suddenly everybody began channeling "daring couture"! Everybody jumped off the bandwagon (five years later, yikes!) however Lady Gaga remains biggest and most daring artist in recent years, all while staying true to herself.
Lady is, deservedly, taking a break from pop culture and bringing her upcoming album to life, having impacted pop culture to a grander scale in seven years compared to Beyoncé's twelve.

Thank you. When you are rating impact, an artist's overall career comes into play and DC played an integral part in Beyonce's career, obviously, because it is how she started - and everyone knows.
One doesn't reference Tina Turner's career without talking about "Ike & Tina," Diana Ross without talking about "The Supremes" or Michael without talking about "Jackson 5."
Let's think more intelligently and use more validity in our arguments people.

Hun, shut up. Trust that when anyone is discussing MJ's legacy, you're gonna hear about "ABC" or "I Want You Back" by the Jackson 5. The Pussycat Dolls had like one big album compared to likes of DC or N'SYNC. stop the foolishness.
