Pro: Beautiful and talented singer and actress. Has a good personality and very cool songs. (Remember That, Forbidden Fruit, A Little Bit)
Cons: I think she and her management / label is very disorganized. They choose her singles inappropriately, and her image is inconsistent as what has been stated above.
Pros: She is a great singer, with an amazing voice and songs!
Cons: Her reality show with Nick Lachey made her musical career go down after it ended =( and going Country
Pro: Has a good personality that a lot of people find funny. Fairly talented singer.
Cons: An inconsistent image throughout her career (1st album "virginal ballad singer" 2nd album "attempting to be Britney Spears-lite, but lacking the dance ability and not exuding natural sexiness" 3rd album "America's favorite singing housewife who releases material that's suitable for Adult Contemporary" 4th album "Newly divorced and liberated disco diva-wannabe" 5th album "Country singer?")
Pros: Funny. Campy. Her mediocrity is good forum fodder.
Cons: Her belting makes my ears bleed. Can't dance. Horrible actress. Generally bad music with very few memorable singles--her career has been a bizarre Britney/Christina/Carrie pastiche but she's much worse than all of then. And under all that makeup, she really isn't too pretty (Ashlee is prettier).
Pro: She's the 2nd best vocal pop princess, she has a funny personality and she's a successfull woman in the products business. She's sexy (but Ashlee is more fashion)
Cons: Her label doesn't know how to promote her, and in some movies her act.
Jessica Simpson's phenomenal beauty, powerful chops, and striking humor, charm and wit definitely doesn't go unnoticed.
Unfortunately, neither does her IQ points (or assumed lack thereof). The fact that she hasn't been able to find her identity within the [music] industry, more than likely the fault of her mediocre label, has generally been unfavorable.
