I love the GaGa stans are pissed people thought the performance was boring. The incentive of course is touching, but that doesn't mean people have to love it.
As for the performance, nice dedication, but it wasn't moving. It's basically what we've seen her do these last few months. The random loudness, etc. "Speechless" might as well been performed. The "DITD" portion was also nothing "magical". I won't call delusion, but I can see some reaching too far in saying it was the best performance.

Gaga deserve all those awards!
But the performance is such a disappointment
Pretty upset Pixie Lott did not perform
Even disappointing that she did not win :-/

|
....she did keep it personal!!! Obviously, it was to one of her VERY close friends and inspirations who tragically died, that's pretty personal to me. And that's all about opinion because I could say the exact same thing for Carrie not moving me.

People don't have to love it, but I just think its wrong for everyone to expect to her to put on this huge kind of show when you take in the events that have happened this past week. It would be inhumane.
And as to whether or not you found it moving, that's your opinion. I thought it was emotional as heck!!

GaGa, it doesn't matter one of your close friends just passed...you were supposed to put on the biggest show ever and not bore people.
I thought what she did was very beautiful and touching. The lyrics were extremely clever and I feel like she saluted him the right way. It would've been wrong for her to just go about the regular "Telephone" performance...her friend just died people.

don't make me laugh. Let me remind you that Alicia's aunt passed right before the 2007 MTV Video awards and she still slayed No One and Freedom...regardless of what may have happended this was very boring and typical nothing different she just changed her clothes and swapped her clown make-up

Dude, " No One" is a completely different kind of song than " Telephone." Completely different meanings and everything. It's not as if Alicia got up on stage and put on this huge entire show with all of this choreography. And " No One" isn't even that uptempo, so it's completely different.
In my opinion, if she would've got up there and performed the regular " Telephone," it would've been heartless.
And I think it was very different, she took the stage completely by herself. It was a one woman show. Pretty impressive in my opinion. She played two different instruments and her vocals were flawless. And in my opinion, it was heartfelt, real, raw, and emotional. It would've been completely rude for her to do the 'club' song on stage while she danced away acting like nothing's happened.
Not to mention McQueen's death was so tragic and sudden. It's not an easy thing to overcome when one's friend takes their lives.

She could easily perform a different song. But since it is her new single, I guess ...

and it doesn't matter what type of song No One is...the fact of the matter is it was a solid all around performance...Gaga's performance was basically like watching paint dry...she coulda did better

I'm saying after such a tragic death of a friend who has done so much for her like that it would be a bit heartless for her to get up on stage and sing a song about sippin' bub at the club and be doing all kinds of choreography. She didn't want the performance to be about her, it was obviously for McQueen.
Obviously we disagree here and it's cool, I'm just saying that after what has happened I don't think a performance of the original version of "Telephone" would've been okay considering something so serious has happened.
We're arguing about opinions anyway. I didn't much like Keys' VMA performance, much like you didn't like GaGa's BRITs performance. Doesn't make either one better than the other.
I just personally thought what GaGa did was selfless, beautiful, and emotional. It wasn't the most exciting performance ever, but that's not what she wanted. It wasn't about her, it was about McQueen for her that night. I just kinda find it sad to see people go "ew she was boring," when it was something so heartfelt for her friend.

i know that she wa s a close mcqueen friedn .. and he was like a legend for her
but these are brits music awards.. it's a popular show where people want to dance and sing around the songs
gaga performance was the best of the night of course... no1 has her talent and her ideas but it'wasn't the place
she had to put a fake smile and dance her ass on telehone
look at cheryl... her performance was a mess ( her miming was terrible) but at least she didn't change everything because of her marriage
mcqueen death was tragic but people doesn't care about her personal tribute to him ...

I thought Gaga was alright....she sounded great, but the performance in general wasn't as good as usual.
And Cheryls syching was sooo out of time. I saw that on tv and like wtf....it was practically a whole word out.
