Damn I forgot he sold 165k last time around?
Did it have a smash hit? If not that really is impressive.

WHAT???
Yeah, now that someone mentioned he sold 165k I can see a little boost from the relationship and the features but if Meek pulled 165k last era then he has a decent fanbase for a hip hop artist.
100k is solid for that genre on average so I think he's proven himself on his own.

Why are y'all so surprised? His last album didn't good first week too.
It's a shame urban rappers with minimum promotion are doing better than these pop artist. Imagine if labels promoted hiphop acts like how they do pop artist.

Didn't know his last album did well as no one cares about male rappers on this forum unless they are dating a female artist like Beyonce or something.

Well, he's projected to sell more than her actual units.
Keep in mind, she initially was slated for 160k but did a promo blitz and hustled that 196/8k debut
He could go up to 220k since it's a holiday weekend and his equivalents I'm not sure how much of a boost current songs will do for it.
Impressive nonetheless

I don't think Future is marketable. The weeknd yes. I don't think having Drake on an album will always guarantee 200k actual units though.
I think it has to do with Meek truly being a hip hop artist serving bars and stepping up his game.
He had me at I b on that
