People citing Grindr as proof of this statement's validity should probably look up the meaning of a faulty sample. Of course there's going to be more racism than homophobia on a gay-only app.

That in itself IS racist. Being a token conquest is festishization and makes you a crappy person.

i definitely agree. a lot of the gay community will say "i'm not racist, i just prefer white guys. sorry." when they dont 'prefer' anything, because a preference is when u like both but take one over the other. instead, they tend to completely 'x' out black gay men.

That was kind of what I was getting at, although I wouldn't call it racist as they're not seeing their race as better, its definitely an ignorance, however this and the anti-asian thing which could technically be classed as racism isn't restricted to the LGBT community by any means.

I'm from Norway in a city named Aalesund and still I see a lot of "no blacks, no asians"
But the worst I have seen with those bios was when I was in Amsterdam and east US..
