For the first time ever I agree with this gorl. She is not lying....of course she had to be extra and add unnecessary shade to create drama(shocking) but she's right tho. I just said the same thing on the BET nominations thread(before I saw this thread) that they should nominate 5 Nicki songs and choose the best one/most successful one.

Like it or not Iggy should've won last year I know y'all will trash and talk **** but she did deserve it last year....obviously it went to Nicki. Now this year it'll obviously going to her again and the next one and the next one too it makes me wonder who was getting this award before Nicki became famous? lol Lil mama??

The award was practically dead before Nicki broke out. There were one or two years where the category was discontinued due to having no major female hip hop artist. M.I.A. (who isn't really Hip Hop) and Remy Ma (who only was known for "Lean Back" at the time) won it. Miri Ben Ari was even nominated. It was Missy's category before that. Eve won the first one.
