I don't understand the love for Spike and Buffy; he tried to rape her. To me, that should be case closed right there. Their relationship was born out of a really dark abuse-ridden place and I don't see why anyone would be interested in seeing it blossom. No matter what writers on the show did, it was always going to be a part of their relationship.

And to be honest, in a way, Spuffy kind of undercut the feminist message Buffy had been sending at that point. Not saying that it wasn't a story that shouldn't be told, because I think that artistically it was a good storyline - I just don't think that Spuffy should be held up as romantic. They were seriously problematic and their relationship was vile.

I can see why Buffy would have been into Spike during season six, but after that the door should have been closed. Spike over stayed his welcome. The final season lacked that self awareness that Buffy always had. I still enjoyed it but I was surprised to see the show writing itself into a character corner. I was reading how Joss regrets not doing more with Queen Dawn* and I agree. Dawn was so under used and I wish she had more time to develop instead of Spike.

*Dawn is faithfully underrated. Her iconic "get out get out get out get out" screams and her watcher junior status...loved it.

The only time I could tolerate Spike was in Angel, he was great there.

Dawn is so annoying, but endearing. She went through a lot. I wish that by mid season six she was a little less bratty. I felt for her a lot, which is why I tolerate her. When she thought she was a potential in season 7 and ended up being a Xander sized flop

I love The Body. I watch that epsioe, and the following ones, when I am down Such a powerful episode. The episode seems so surreal. Poor Joyce

Faith, Fred, Angelus, Drusilla, Spike, Giles and Tara were my favs.

Tbh I was always more drawn to the darker aspects of the shows than the hero ****. I loved when Giles was Ripper, when Faith lost her ****, when Spike was evil, when Angelus appeared, when Cordy was a bitch and gave zero ****s, when willow was bored now, Darla, when fred turned into Illyria, when connor proved he was his mother's child and put angel's ass in a coffin and threw to the bottom of the ocean

The hero thing was fun, but I all I wanted was a show where they were all evil/dark.

I'm up to season 7 now, Dawn is bearable because her personality would be the realistic result of all of the trauma she went through but girl takes up too much screen time in this season because the main hub is at her school for the season
