How do u guys know some of the contestants? I thought they all shouldnt be pro models. The 1st seasons were way more interesting. The last few winners are total disappointments for me. Its all too fixed... in an obvious kinda way. :\

It's said on the Cycle 22 App that they prefer a person to not have experience in an national campaign in the last two years including, not limited to television and print advertisement. That the producers have the right to accept any contestant no matter the level of experience. Also they can accept a model whose already represented as long as it doesn't interfer with the show and if they do, they must terminate that representative.

The days of an all amateur model contest is over. I don't know if there ever was a cycle were all the contestants were inexperienced but yeah, its definitely shifted.

EDIT: what makes me laugh is the fact that most of these people are already "working" models with contracts. ANTM's become such a joke but it's entertaining. The cast is hot so I can't complain.

Yeah, I'm really not liking how ANTM is casting all these agency or "Instagram" models who are already signed and working, rather than the old days where they just got random girls off of farms and street corners basically and turned them into supermodels.

I don't think anyone truly takes ANTM seriously for the modeling, maybe in the early cycles but it turned into a huge reality show.

Eh. At least this cycle is looking to have the best Boy/Girl cast yet.

Well let's not say 'supermodels' because that never happened on ANTM, but you're right. There are a lot of 'hot guys' this season because it seems like Tyra scouted them from online.

The only season that actually found supermodels were Australia and Russia's season.
