I think this will be an excellent album (or at least better than Back to Basics), but I agree that she may not sell very much this time around. I guess it just depends on how much promo she does and what her first single is, but pop stars can't really afford to take long breaks anymore like she does, what with Rihanna and Beyonce and the like working 24/7/365.

Very few people take her seriously as an artist because she puts so much pretense in her music and it takes ages for her to deliver it, but nevertheless I think this is going to shape up to be a great album. I'm DYING to hear how her collaborations with Santigold and Sia turned out.

This... the bitch just talks about how artistic she is and she has yet to deliver a listenable song or a widely recognized hit.
This is album is shaping up to be a hot mess, she's collaborating with everybody and their grandma's and GOD her formula is so predictable... she has the "artsy ballad" makers Linda and Sia, the trendy "alterna divas" Santigold, MIA, Allison Goldfrapp, Sia again, the "obscure electro" Ladytron, Le Tigre AND the "current club bangas" Danja, FlorRida, Tricky.
For someone that labels herself so high... she has only released 2 albums this decade and none of them are memorable. Yikes.

This is true. The album lacks focus, but I think there's also potential for great synergy among all these players.

Stripped was well-received by millions of people worldwide and its reign on the charts spanned well over a year. A lot of people are divided on whether it's great or horrible, but I think that's what qualifies it as a memorable album--you certainly seem to remember it  .

Exactly this.
The rundown of her song selection/genre is spot on.
She'd be taken as a serious artist if she WERE a serious artist, but she just follows trends every step of the way.
