Uhm no I never was taught that Africans were barbaric nutcases. It's actually the other way around at least in high school. We learned that Africans had their own systems and way of life and societies but the whites tricked and put Africans against each other and some Kings even sold there own people to the whites. That's what I learned I'm not sure what others did. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Asap Rocky thought women in Africa walked around naked with no hair and bones in their noses. It's pretty much fact that my people don't know they history ...... I'm happyt you found that out but the the way that % set up of what black teenagers think Africa look like is different

This may be true tbh. In my World History class my teacher said we could skip African history because it wasn't too important.

Yeah it was only 9th grade though. And he was under a constraint and said the curriculum really didn't call for it too much. I mean we did Egypt of course, but never got into anything else.

Asap sounds ****ing stupid. If you don't care about your own history enough to do a simple Google search welp that's on them. I mean we have Black History month and we learn a lot about Africa in MY school idk about the other schools.

this is a fact! i took ap world history in hs and we didnt learn a thing about ancient africa and it was the only reason i took that class. i was so mad

I mean it's cool and all to feel connected to your roots and **** but I don't really worry or care anymore tbh we really need to be focused on the future in schools. History is great but I would rather be focused on the future. But that's just me. I don't think there is a enough time in class though to learn about African culture though because if we do that then Japanese, Indians, Hispanics, Chinese, Middle Eastern people would want their past to be known to so idk. There really isn't enough time sis. I care about history but the future is more important to most people my age. If they should be adding anything to schools it should be forward thinking classes.

But that's just my opinion.
