Another DJ and female artist on the list. Back-to-back. These two wonder are back this time with Outside. I Need Your Love was great and banger but this time they aimed higher.
But still, i hate that Calvin's blunt sound. The instrumental sounds unreal. Like every other tracks.
71. Jennifer Nettles (of Sugarland) - Me Without You
She's a versatile singer. She could turn your fav pop song into great country song. Then, she already hit us with Stay with Sugarland. This time, she's going solo and bring us Stay 2.0 but not in the same way. It just her and acoustic guitar. How could i wantin' more?!
This year, i'm officially stanning for Jess Glynne. She's the one who brought that two Clean Bandit hits. And then her own, Right Here. But I hate this video (except the main man)
Another unexpected hit from an artist that come out from nowhere. Because it is a cute song by a cute artist produced a cute video = viral. Is it right?
68. Enrique Iglesias - Bailando (feat. Descemer Bueno & Gente De Zona)
This is my record of the year. The infectious hit was everywhere. and believe it or not, I love the Spanish version compared to English one because I could feel that cohesive although I didn't speak Spanish. or maybe I hate Sean Paul. or whatever...
If I didn't know this song has been recorded before this cover, I would believe Emily B is the original singer. She made it her own. Totally perfect vocal control and technique.
Whoever thought that Queen Hilary would made this splash comeback with this sun-kiss bop penned by Colbie Caillat. I'm so surprised she came out with this type of song but it's really worth to wait. and yummy video too
Her 'Unlocked' album is come outta nowhere and surprisingly ranked as one of my 2014 best album. I dont freaking care about this song at first because it something she has done before (Mr. Saxobeat, Get Back A.S.A.P.) but the whole track captivated me like, SNAP. I couldn't resist the saxophone and the beat. Safe to say, this song is well-produced.
Macklemore sampled this on their Same Love and thanks to them, Mary Lambert could released her album last year and scored a sizable hit with Secret. For me, it's her first single that really caught me here. I love how she use organic instrumental and not over-produced this song. Simplicity at its best.
I love Blake Shelton. He always collaborated with underrated country female (Raelynn, Pistol Annies, Gwen Sebastian) and brought them to the top of country chart. This time he teaming up with one-third Pistol Annies, Ashley Monroe on Lonely Tonight. This future no.1 hit surefire cemented him one of the best collaborator on country music (remember that time when he turned Legendtina into semi-country). The production of this song is superb. It is simple, loving and emotional. But i hate the message.
Taken from one of the best album of the year, One is a standout track among others. That Pharrell produced song was overproduced and annoying. I love when Ed with his guitar, doing their thing
Another Aussie on the list. Proved ima big fan of Aussie pop music although im not from there (also). This time, Sam channeled lil bit of Ariana Grande, Katy Perry on this sugar-coated single. This sweet-funky song is too delicious for my ears. Like big time.
They're back and stormed us like hurricane with this new single. One of the fastest rising on the rock chart. What I like about this song? The 8-bar break. From that moment, they really keep the momentum up until the end.
My Love I freaking love that song! Is just amazing but I don't know why you hate the music video, is amazing for me
Outisde... is alright, but forgettable. I want old Calvin's music back
