Just listened to Evergreen today for the first time and was quite impressed. The Lorde similarities are definitely there, but I don't feel like it took away from the album at all. LAF, Bridge and Mother & Father were my favourites.

Nice start!
Right? At times I had to remind myself I wasn't listening to Lorde. Even the vocalists' vocals sound like hers.
With a booming voice and strong rock-leaning production, Neuroplasticity is one of the most warming albums of the year. Really its like the musical equivalent to winter with beautiful lyrics and inspiring melodies. Considering that she is from cold Canada it fits well and you can really get a sense of her connection to the blistery winters which influences elements of isolation and longing in the lyrics. Its bold and beautiful and an invigorating listen through and through.
Its one of the most poignant and honest albums of the year without a doubt. From minimal R&B based beats to just straight up near-silent ballads, How To Dress Well has a way with words that is reinforced by his perfect choice of accompanying production. This both hurts and helps him. Its admittedly a bit difficult to get through his entire album in one sitting becuase it is quite slow but each and every one of the tracks offers a heartbreakingly beautiful look into the mind a musical genius.
Two albums that I have not listened to, but two albums that are definitely intriguing, if your words are anything to go by. Just another two albums to add to the pile.
Your write-up for "What Is This Heart" made is sound pretty impressive, so I gave "Words I Don't Remember" a listen and wowowow, this is incredible! Already in love with this guy. Gonna give the album a listen a little later tonight when I'm able to invest, focus and appreciate the writing and artistry.
Wonder Where We Land is quite an event. Experimental and rigorous it somehow combines anything and everything into something brilliant. I love just how diverse these beats are with each song feeling like its own monument. Guest appearances from a host of very talented vocalists are welcomed greatly, adding to the excitement that is the entire release. HOWEVER - its quite a lot to take in and digest - I had to come back to it several times.

I hope you like it
Actually his album from 2012 Total Loss is my personal favourite and I think its a lot easier to listen to. "What Is This Heart?" has a couple duds. Plus it has a really great cover of Janet Jackson's song Again.
