Miranda Lambert - 'Platinum'

Country is a genre of music that I am learning to appreciate more and more every year. What country lacks in production it makes up in lyrical value and tenacious vocals -- if you're a country singer worth your salt that is. Thankfully, Miranda is at the top of the genre and more than delivers on both of these fronts. My personal favorite on the album, the title track "Platinum", is an insanely catchy earworm and if it doesn't become a single in 2015 I'm coming for ha platinum wiiig. Another highlight of the album is "Smokin' and Drinkin'", gives off an almost retro-spacey R&B vibe and I love it uncledishonally. If you are looking in getting into country music you can do no better than Queen Miranda, whom not only has quality music (country album of tha year) but is also a DIVA and you'll get your life from her and her sassy werds. If you are looking for something a little easier on the ears but also way more stimulating lyrically than most pop albums released this year then 'Platinum' is the perfect album for you!

Cash Cash feat. Bebe Rexha - "Take Me Home"

Ok! One of the better mainstream EDM singles released this year. The production and Bebe ha killer vocals are so uplifting and will have you dancing around ya college campus. The chorus especially is a slay and I'm glad that this song came around and made Bebe into the GLOBÀL superstar that she is today. I don't really know what Cash Cash is but thank you for blessing us with this bop sis.

G-Eazy feat. Remo - "I Mean It"

Well let's just start by saying that if you don't know who is G-Eazy he basically is the white male Iggy Azalea. He is also HOT as hell omg, watch the video sissies and fume at how attractive my man is. Ok well "I Mean It" is that urban BOP, lyrically it's alright, but mostly it wins because he is serving ATTITUDE and also the chorus is very cewte. His album is pretty mediocre imo and missed my albums list this year but make sure y'all check this out and he has another song on here coming up.

Calvin Harris - 'Motion'

When Calvin is on, he's ON, bringing top notch production to his best songs. However, for every great track on 'Motion', unfortunately, Calvin included a throwaway or two along with it. Personally I'm not a fan of instrumental tracks unless they are really next level, and the ones included here are pretty unremarkable. However, many of the collabs on the album are stunning. "Outside" featuring my wife Ellie Goulding for example is one of the best tracks, is signature Calvin Harris, but also is far from generic. The highlight of the album, however, comes in the form of the song "Pray To God", where HIAM com-ple-ta-lee deliver and features dare I say, Calvin's best and most euphoric production ever. Another complaint I have with the album is the way he chose to release it, by putting out a bunch of tracks beforehand. Unfortunately in this case in particular, Calvin put out some of the best tracks ("Under Control", "Blame", "Outside") and left the album feeling a little bare when the full thing came out. Overall, 'Motion' is a decent album with a few gems that are really highlights of his career. Also the cover is absolutely gorgeous.

"Motion" was a disappointment, I don't know what's so good about "Pray To God", that song doesn't even sound like a Calvin Harris track but that's me "Faith" should be the next (and last ) single!
