If you don't care about that so-called "straight approval", then it's OK: simply don't care about it. Why do you need to stay pressed and make such a thread just because your fave don't have such appeal to a wider demographic?

Mess @ some of the members here holding straight appeal in such contempt are the same people who have desperately tried to prove that the straights use their fave in other threads
