She better not. I know after the long wait everyone just wants it right away, but december releases are usually hot messes if the artist aren't terribly big like Nicki. Not like she'll sell over 5k copies anyway... But if she wants to go indie at least she should let herself be eligible for the right attention. Most music sites attention will be focused on end of the year lists and making sure you hear all the music that's gone unnoticed. Not to mention she wouldn't even be eligible for year end lists as she'll miss the cut off and by next year they won't care by then. She will likely share one or two more songs by year end and launch in January/February. January sounds perfect to me. At this point might as well let Capitol do their thing. It's obviously coming soon

People shade her a lot (you'll often see "Begging Drake to help me get a hit!" in certain user's locations) but at the end of the day, they're shading her and her label for continuously putting effort into making sure each single does as well as it possibly can despite the album being over a year old. And there's nothing wrong with that. Katy has an amazing team, so I think they're a good label.

yes and she's also Katy Perry, a white pop star who was extremely marketable from the get-go. Hell, Interscope was once responsible for propelling Lady Gaga to the highest of highs but they care a little less now...... so you can't always compare it when the artists aren't the same

Honestly she should have found like a smaller, more independent label for this release because the bigger the label, the bigger the chance she's just gonna get shelved again. Guess we'll see.

Letterman, Jimmy Fallon, Jimmy Kimmel, Bangerz Tour, international promo slots... Capitol did promote her, the public just saw right through sky's cheesy wannabe indie image/music. Azealia obviously deserves better promo than what sky got but even with that she'd manage to score some hits.

Anyways It seems she signed an indie distribution deal with Caroline rather than signing as a capitol artist. Hope she gets her album out been waiting since 2010
