Annoying as hell. I listen to ALL my music on Spotify now and I don't care about iTunes at all. Why is she doing this? I wanted to give her albums a listen and I don't wanna go to YouTube to do so.

And streaming is the death of music, artists get literally no money from it, especially on Spotify, so how is this greedy?
Artists barely make money from album sales though.

Hopefully some other big names follow suit and Spotify is forced to start paying more money to artists. It could actually be a trailblazing move.

I guess that means it will be harder for her songs to hit #1 then?

They're paying 70% of their revenue to artists, any more and they'll go bankrupt.

Nope. Her entire catalog has been removed, save for Safe and Sound.
This. And kii at all the people who are praising Spotify as the second coming.

I really believe some of the people who would've illegally downloaded an album would opt for the Spotify (or any other streaming) client instead.
Yeah, they don't give you much coin but...

Good on her, Spotify sucks the life out of this industry. Smart move by her label not putting her album up there to force back more sales.

It's not like Spotify is hurting her sales otherwise she wouldn't be selling +1 million first week for the 3rd time...

People seriously should pay for the music they listen to. Spotify's free version will eventually destroy the industry.

They won't, or only a little bit. People who want to pirate albums will do so. Spotify barely changes that.
