Sounds like you're just making excuses to say, "She didn't mean that," when she goes against this and uses auto-tune to some degree on her next LP.

She literally said her label made her edit her vocals on "The Fame" to sound more radio-friendly.

"Since The Fame, The Fame Monster and Born This Way, they've been auto-tuning it more, or changing the timbre. They take the vibrato out so you sound like a robot. They really control you especially in the beginning.
"Although it was still my songs, and I still had a lot to say about the production, the vocal was something that they really, really wanted to control. So my vocal presence has been kind of the smallest presence about me for a long time. So everything else becomes the focal point," she said.

Scoot along now.
P.S. This conversation has nothing to do with quality or lyrics.
P.P.S. Of ****ing course she will have to use auto-tune to some degree, it's how you get a perfect vocal for CDs. But I don't believe that's what she means. She has made it clear that she is talking about auto-tuning her voice to remove certain vocal traits in order for it to be more "radio-friendly", and I believe that is what she is saying she will no longer do.
