I don't see how any other view of it would be less correct. Technically there are 4 landmasses that could be considered continents. That would be the most correct way to divide continents. Yet we divide America into 2 and Afro-Eurasia into 3 because of drastic cultural differences, which is the 7 continent model

Well, they obviously can't all be right if they all think the world is different then what it really is. Most countries teach their people incorrect geography unfortunately.

Central America is weird. Like geographically it's obviously North America because of the Darien Gap. Culturally it's distinct from South America and Mexico.
