Beyoncé was released without any warning, every other album has been announced before it's release at least by a few weeks, even Bowie and Jay.
Just because YOU can't remember the facts doesn't mean you can call people wrong.
This is 100% inspired by Beyoncé, no doubt. The only acts to do the "no warning" same-day release before Bey were Death Grips.
