First of all....I am NOT a hater. Do What You Want was probably in my Top 3 favorite songs last year.
And of course Gaga made a huge impact within those three years and no one is denying that. It's just that when put against the artists I listed, she just doesn't make the cut.
But if by "this generation" you mean 2000 to present then,
Britney Spears
Beyoncé
Justin Timberlake
Kanye West
Eminem (he's not pop, but he's no doubt generation defining)
Definitely this.
And if you wanna throw in current artists, Gaga and Rihanna probably could be included in "this generation" and to that list because they obviously are the definition of pop music right now
