Even Shania (who I LOVE) - and the biggest pop/country female artist of all time - is never really mentioned among the her peers Whitney, Madonna, Mariah & Janet. Moreover, Shania's impact is much greater and can actually be documented with facts.
I just want to know what specific influence she has. Not - "She makes great music and inspires kids to write & play guitars."

Those are the only she impacts, kids.

Perhaps because Taylor herself is still at such a young age for her legacy to be determined! She'll for sure be known as one of the best songwriters of our generation and being America's Sweetheart. Taylor has a nice career ahead or her and it's far too early to be able to clarify her legacy when well she has a lot more time to show us what she can do musically for is to determine that. The thread is kind of unjust.

That isn't specific and good enough? Okay.

the fact that you think that her accomplishments mean nothing just because people made accomplishments before her. kiii. She brought country music back into huge popularity for this generation, who gives a **** what Shania/Faith did decades ago when were talking about Taylor's legacy.

Because Shania and Faith did it before her, and make it huge. The OP said what's her legacy and listed those two artists you mentioned, so we can name them.

And Shania has an album with huge sales and Taylor can only dream about make it that big worldwide, she will never. btw, I just heard You're Still the One on the radio yesterday, I've never heard a single Taylor song on my local stations.

You Ari fans are so bitter when it comes to Taylor. I Knew You Were Trouble's sales and impact is bigger that any Ariana song. Not to mention her albums sold more than 4M each in US while some wannabe girl is struggling to hit gold. Bye!

Kids in the US? There are plenty of kids in the world. I can assure you Latinos won't be inspired by her, we already have Shakira and lots of other artists. Shakira plays the guitar too, btw.

I am not an Ariana fan. I am an Eminem, Beyoncé and Britney Spears loyal fan. Would you like to compare Taylor's accomplishments with my three faves? Cause you can be sure they will crash her.

She owns the break up song. She has given songwriting a spotlight. She inspired many to pick up a guitar. She has revived country music as said before. And all while being one of the most successful and consistent acts in the US since her debut.

It's not the same. It's easy to list musical inspirations, but how many of these pop stars made their fans pick up an instrument, a pen and paper and write their hearts down? Not many. The thing about Taylor is that she is the one writing her own music, playing her own instruments and co-producing her own albums.
Her legacy is not a shocking moment on national television, nor an outfit that made every headline.. It's something that will show up in the long run, when there's a new generation of artists coming up.
Superstars today are about the glamour and the looks and the dancing, the fact that a girl in cowboy boots, a curly hair and a guitar managed to write worldwide hits on her own makes her already stand out.
She will become an example of songs with a storyline and her story will be taught by music business professors and her ways of communicating with her fans will be adapted because no one managed to do it like her today.
There is a reason why Taylor is still at the top of her game, 8 years into her career.

Just because they did it before her doesn't mean she didn't do it again, after country had lost a lot of popularity. Keep trying.
