It happened for many singers already when they couldn't perform a single anymore because basically the song wasn't their anymore, like Chili (from TLC), JoJo, it also happened to Tami Chynn who recorded a whole album, and days before the release the songs wasn't her anymore, she got shelved, the label dropped her (and thanks to that JLO got Hypnotico).

It can be paper work and nothing related to her vajayjay. We don't know at this point.

Not only are both artists signed under Roc Nation, but Rita's had people like Diplo and will.i.am produce for her in the past. I'm sure if she wanted Calvin Harris to produce a few songs for her she'd be able to make it happen without resorting to a fake relationship.

unprofessional? this is debatable. In my eyes, his image won't be affected by this too badly.
1. Rita Ora isn't a big star in the US, so Calvin taking away her chance to perform at the VMA's won't be a stain in his career since she is an unknown in the US
2. IWNLYD is basically Calvin's song aside from the vocals. However since this is marketed as a Rita Ora song most of the flack will fall onto her for this song not taking off (hence the seemingly shady part) in the US simply since the song doesn't even place Calvin Harris as a feature.

So I agree he can seem shady, but i'm no music mogul to judge his professionalism either, but I doubt this will totally affect his career

This is her teams fault for not signing a proper contract, a contract that gives HER the rights to the song and he gets X amount of is already paid X amount.

What he did is business fueled with him wanting to "show her". None -the-less she needs to move on, work hard on Black Widow and as soon as she smashes releases a song that's actually strong because IWNLYD really wasn't.
