This is not a matter over belongings. It's a matter over someone coming onto YOUR property, the privacy of your personal space and acting as if they have the authority to be there. This is about safety and rights. No one should be able to come onto your property without your permission. That man could have been murdered by those ignorant heathens. As a homeowner you have every right to defend yourself against trash like that.

Also, it sounds like they were running away and he was chasing them down, which no longer makes this a case of self defense because they were no longer attacking him or near him.

She was running away, imo, he should be charged with something. Where I live, if an intruder breaks into your home, you can not shoot them in the back, if you do, you will get charged with murder. In his case, he actually chased her down!! It was pretty unnecessary, he should be held accountable.


But, this should be a message to anybody who wants to break into people's houses. Always know that there are people waiting inside with a .45 who are ready and willing to defend themselves, their family and their property, I am one of those people.


EDIT: I wonder if the woman had taken something of his that was very valuable to him, and that's why he chased and shot her??

I completely agree. It's a sick mentality. Older Americans use it nowadays and kill people just because they have that mentality, break into my house = I can kill you. It's quite sad.
