Single Ladies touched a larger audience; BOMT is more for teens. and the video is not as iconic as SL.

I've been to the "urban" communities and have yet to meet someone who doesn't know ...BOMT. This may shock you but financially disadvantaged people still have radios and television and top 40 is the biggest format. Are you trying to use "urban" as a way to describe black communities? LOL
BOMT was a hit WW. SL not nearly as much. It clearly reached more people LOL
It would really suck for SL if BOMT was only for teens yet somehow a bigger WW hit than it

That would just show that even with the support of every demographic SL still couldn't reach BOMT.
