Because TBDT was relatively new as of that 5/07 chart date + her TBDT tour + holiday sales mean it's pretty reasonable to say that each of those cds sold at least 50k since that last chart update, due to the extra exposure/promo. If you scrolled a bit further down the link I sent you, you'll see that Let Go was over 6,613,000 by mid-July of '07. And besides, my estimates were a lot closer than yours.

I went by the certifications, and my point was to understand how on earth a fan wouldn't know Avril had sold over 10 million in the US. Btw, I said 'over' for each number I posted except TBDT.

Oh guys! more than one page talking about Avril sales! that's great ha!
and thanks for lettin' me know you learn new thing everyday ha! I feel like the biggest Avril fan in the world but as you see I don't know everything maybe if I start to check sales in USA by each album I will know it, I always know and remember that Avril has more than 30 millions worldwide
ohh and what bobbymfw said is true Anthony.
and soo about Rihanna I like her but sorry to say that she's a big flop talking about album sales how she can have just 11 millions worldwide even artist like Hilary duff has sold more albums that she so we are talking that Rihanna has sold in USA over 5-6 millions right?

Didn't Alexz just post a thread that stated that Christina Aguilera had sold 15.1 million albums already in 2006...how is it possible that she has lost some sales? This thread seems innaccurate.

lavigne debuted in 2002. as far as albums released that year up to now, only THREE albums have gotten a diamond certification. two of which were double albums: Speakerboxxx/The Love Below and Up!, in other words, those albums didn't sell 10 million.
i'm pretty sure you know by now that nobody will ever have a 10-million-seller album with a new release.
your precious idol's record company was wise enough to release her albums during the peak of albums sales (1999-2001) and during the time she used to be the 'it' girl...

WTF. :-/ Any idiot knows albums don't sell 10 million in the US anymore. That's exactly why I said she never will have a Diamond album - She had her chance in 2002, bu failed to get it (other female singers did it, like, let's say, Norah Jones, so it was still possible).
Anywayz, you people are so obsessed with Britney, Gosh.

Anthony, be quiet. Norah Jones is the only person since 2002 to have a 10-million selling album so quit holding Avril up to an unfair standard. She never had a chance so quit saying she "failed" to get it.
Outkast and Shania both hit diamond because of that ridiculous RIAA rule, and you know it! And even Eminem and Usher's releases haven't hit the 10 million mark.
