Gamecube was in many respects the most powerful system on the market at the time. It still had little 3rd party support.
To claim that it is about the power of the hardware is a
lie. The fact is, when you put out a game on a Nintendo console you get compared to Nintendo titles, and most of these half assed developers KNOW that they look incompetent when compared to the classic and timeless games that Nintendo releases.
3rd parties are tired of looking incompetent. So they stopped releasing on Nintendo's consoles.
