It's not about the number of the guys (stupid to call out Taylor on that too), but Adele sings about a relationship that actually meant something for her, and I don't get that from Taylor Swift's songs.
So if I want to hear a good break-up song I'd rather listen to Adele. But Swift has some fun songs too.

It's not Taylor's fault that the media is obsessed with her relationships or that the paparazzi follow Taylor around everywhere & "expose" her relationships to the public. Taylor doesn't usually come out and say "I'm dating this guy" intentionally.

And once again, Taylor's "tea" is only obvious because of her highly covered relationships. If you didn't see her dating the guys in the news you would never guess.

I think its the distorted image that the media pushed the last few years. I mean, hollywood life dreams up some fake Taylor story and all the blogs rush to promote it as factual.

It's not just Adele's looks that make people think her music is more mature, it's the actual music.

Taylor's music is rather childish. I mean, compare her taunting someone that they are "never ever getting back together" or talking about how tonight is the perfect night to dress like a hipster to Adele's mature lyrics like "Never mind, I'll find someone like you / I wish nothing but the best for you too".

It IS true though. I'm not bashing Taylor her audience is big as well, but Adele obviously has reached wider demographics than Taylor has.

I don't really understand. Taylor hasn't been with a great number of guys since the start of her career, having date 6 guys scattered in an 8 year period. That number/rate is not unusual for people her age in the Western world. The fact that she's more of a celebrity/public figure than Adele + the fact that she tends to write about relationships makes her more of a target of many false dating rumors spread by tabloids in need of ad hits. That doesn't make her any less of a role model career-wise.

You seem to also forget that Taylor is a very easy target for the media. No nudes, no sex tapes, no drunken incidents, no racy image, no swearing, no paparazzi assault incidents, no controversial/outrageous actions, very polite in public, pretty and thin, which makes no room for the criticism her peers usually receive. The only angle they could come for her from would be the relationships one, her personal, love life. They try to feed the GP's mind that she's dated 16 guys in 2 years, is fake and is a bitter psycho boy-crazed ex-girlfriend in need of a guy to make her happy. But they haven't just yet
