I remember reading this article a few months back:

This was the bit that really stuck out to me:
Quote:
Riding the wave of popular chatter and news cycle ubiquity, prices for the Bangerz tour were set aggressively high for a singer with a catalog of hits that you could count on one hand

As mean as that is, it's kind of true. She was charging $180 for tickets, which is a fair price for her fans, and people like us, who know all of Bangerz and a lot of her old songs. But it made me think, the GP could probably only name We Can't Stop, Wrecking Ball, Party in the USA and The Climb.
I'm speaking on behalf of Australia here because Hannah Montana wasn't that big here.
My point is, she just stopped promoting this era. Where are the music videos for FU, #GETITRIGHT, Do My Thang, SMS (Bangerz) and Drive? She started this era with so much momentum. Especially around the VMAs time when Wrecking Ball and We Can't Stop were out. Sure, Adore You underperformed but that doesn't mean she had to abandon the era. She should have just kept going and come out with another party song. She should have capitalized on her momentum. Instead, people see her now as being the current Miley Cyrus, and not the 'new' Miley Cyrus anymore.
Time to reinvent haself again.
